How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lift Service Engineer – London / Hertfordshire 

    Locations: South London, West London OR Hertfordshire 

    Role: Lift Service Engineer

    Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

    Role Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join a growing service team covering a portfolio of lifts across London.

    You will be responsible for the planned maintenance, servicing, fault finding and breakdown repair of passenger and goods lifts, ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance across a portfolio of lifts

    Attend breakdowns and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults

    Complete minor repairs and adjustments where required

    Work across a range of lift manufacturers and equipment

    Identify potential repair works and report recommendations

    Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health & safety and industry standards

    Complete service reports and relevant documentation

    Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts and the wider service team

    Participate in the call-out rota where required

    Requirements

    NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification

    Previous experience working as a Lift Service / Maintenance Engineer

    Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability

    Experience servicing a variety of lift equipment and manufacturers

    Good understanding of lift safety standards and working practices

    Able to work independently and manage a service route effectively

    Full UK driving licence
