How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced Bid Manager with a background in commercial construction, M&E, engineering or renewable energy, with experience working with NEC / JCT contracts and public sector frameworks?

Would you like to join an established and growing commercial Solar PV and EV specialist, where you'll take ownership of high-value renewable energy tenders, framework opportunities and commercial projects across the UK?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established Solar / EV specialist delivering commercial renewable energy projects across the UK, from smaller Solar PV installations through to multi-megawatt commercial and industrial projects.

The business provides a complete service from initial design and feasibility through to installation, commissioning and ongoing project delivery, with a strong focus on quality, compliance and HSE. The company is MCS accredited and has developed an excellent reputation within the commercial renewables market, with a growing pipeline of opportunities across the private and public sectors.

You will also be responsible for managing bids through public sector frameworks and tender processes, with a particular focus on understanding and responding to NEC and JCT contractual requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Bid Manager with a construction, M&E, engineering or technical background to join a rapidly growing renewable energy business, with genuine autonomy and the opportunity to play a key role in winning major commercial projects.

    The Role

Managing the end-to-end bid process for commercial Solar PV, EV and renewable energy projects.
Leading bids from initial opportunity through to tender submission, negotiation and contract award.
Reviewing and interpreting NEC and JCT contracts, specifications, scopes and tender documentation.
Managing bids for commercial, industrial and public sector clients.
Preparing and managing PQQ, SQ, ITT, framework and mini-competition submissions.
Developing bid strategies, win themes and compelling written responses.
Coordinating input from sales, design, estimating, commercial, engineering and project delivery teams.
    The Person

Previous experience as a Bid Manager, Senior Bid Manager, Bid Coordinator or similar.
Background in commercial construction, M&E, engineering, energy or renewable projects.
Experience managing high-value tenders from opportunity through to contract award.
Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts and their commercial implications.
Experience working with public sector frameworks, tenders and mini-competitions.
Experience with Solar PV, EV, M&E, electrical engineering, energy or renewables would be highly advantageous.Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd acts an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
