How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Planner

    £35,000 to £40,000 + 4 Day Week + Flexible Working + Training + Progression + Company Benefits

    North Lanarkshire, commutable from Glasgow, Livingston, Bathgate, Wishaw, Motherwell, Hamilton and surrounding areas

    Do you have experience planning within a high volume production environment, looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of production planning while developing and improving the systems and processes behind it?

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established manufacturing business where you'll take ownership of short, medium and long term production planning, working across multiple departments to improve capacity, efficiency and performance while exploring how AI and new technology can further develop the planning function.

    The company is continuing to invest in its operations and processes, offering long term stability alongside the opportunity to have a genuine influence on how the planning function operates.

    In this role you'll build and manage production plans, translate forecasts into capacity requirements and coordinate materials, labour and production capability. You'll use advanced Excel, ERP/MRP systems and data to improve forecasting, capacity planning and S&OP, with opportunities to introduce greater automation, reporting and AI tools.

    This role would suit someone with strong production planning experience from a high volume manufacturing environment who is confident with advanced Excel and wants to take greater ownership of planning, systems and continuous improvement.

    The Role

    Own short, medium and long term production planning
    Forecasting, capacity planning and S&OP
    Build and maintain planning models, reports and dashboards
    Advanced Excel, ERP/MRP systems, data and automation
    Improve planning processes, efficiency and use of technology
    Choice of 4 day week or 4.5 days with Friday working from homeThe Person

    Strong production planning experience within high volume manufacturing
    Food, FMCG, perishable or fast moving manufacturing experience advantageous
    Advanced Excel skills
    Experience with ERP/MRP systems
    Confident building production and capacity plans
