How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Graduate Teaching Assistant - Brent - £105-£140 per day - Long Term - Mainstream Secondary School - September Start

Graduate Teaching Assistant required for the London Borough of Brent
Graduate Teaching Assistant required for a long-term role starting in September
Graduate Teaching Assistant required with a degree is essential

Are you a graduate looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school this September?

Do you have a passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting young people to achieve their full potential?

Would you like to gain hands-on classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching?

If so, this Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity could be the perfect role for you.

The Role - Graduate Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Brent is seeking to appoint a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its support team from September on a long-term basis.

As the successful Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4, providing classroom and small-group support to help students access the curriculum, develop their confidence and make positive progress. You will work alongside classroom teachers, support students with their learning and encourage positive engagement and independence.

A degree is essential for this position. Previous experience working within a school or educational setting would be desirable but is not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school environment.

Experience or an interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs would also be advantageous, including students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, MLD or Speech and Language needs.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, reliable and proactive, with a genuine desire to support young people and develop their own experience within education.

The School - Graduate Teaching Assistant

This successful mainstream secondary school in Brent is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The school has a dedicated teaching and support team, strong pastoral provision and a collaborative working environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain valuable classroom experience, develop transferable skills and gain an insight into a future career in teaching or education.

Apply today to be considered for this exciting Graduate Teaching Assistant role in Brent. Interviews and trial days are taking place immediately for a September start
