We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Bridgend.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term freelance work on a busy site, with competitive day rates available depending on your experience, project background and whether you can provide your own setting out equipment.
The Role
* Carrying out all setting out duties on site.
* Establishing and maintaining control points.
* Ensuring works are delivered to specification and within required tolerances.
* Producing and maintaining accurate as-built records.
* Interpreting technical drawings and site documentation.
* Working closely with site management and subcontractors.
* Supporting quality assurance and resolving engineering issues as they arise.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer.
* Previous work on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or similar projects.
* Competent in the use of surveying and setting out equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Valid CSCS card.
* Own setting out equipment advantageous and may command a higher day rate.
