How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Professional Skills Facilitator
    £40K-£45K Basic Salary
    London/Hybrid (3 days a week in London)

An opportunity to join a growing professional development team delivering high-impact learning experiences for apprentices, early-career professionals, experienced managers, and senior leaders.

This is a facilitation-focused role, not a traditional teaching position. You will design and deliver engaging sessions that help learners build practical workplace skills they can apply immediately. Working across a range of professional skills programmes, you will use learner insight, assessment data, and live feedback to adapt your approach and create meaningful progress for individuals and groups.

The role offers real scope to shape how professional skills are delivered. As the team grows, there will be opportunities to develop specialist areas, support new facilitators, contribute to curriculum development, and become involved in client-facing activity.

    Responsibilities

    * Facilitate professional skills workshops across classroom, virtual, and employer-site settings.

    * Deliver learning sessions for a broad range of audiences, from Level 3 apprentices through to Level 7 senior professionals.

    * Adapt facilitation style, language, and session pace to suit different levels of experience, confidence, and workplace context.

    * Use diagnostic information and learner data to understand starting points and tailor sessions to individual and group needs.

    * Create practical, engaging learning experiences using discussion, simulations, case studies, role play, and workplace-based activities.

    * Help learners connect professional skills topics to real situations they face at work.

    * Provide clear, constructive learner feedback within agreed timescales.

    * Work closely with coaches and wider delivery colleagues to ensure learners receive a joined-up development experience.

    * Take part in observations, peer feedback, and continuous improvement activity to maintain high delivery standards.

    * Trial new delivery methods, digital tools, and technology-enhanced learning approaches.

    * Share ideas, resources, and best practice with colleagues across the delivery team.

    * Support client-facing activity where facilitation expertise can add value, such as taster sessions, demonstrations, or proposal input.

    * Continue to build subject matter expertise across professional skills areas, with the opportunity to specialise over time.

    Skills & Experience

    * Experience facilitating professional skills, leadership, management, employability, behavioural, or workplace development programmes.

    * Confident delivering to varied audiences, including apprentices, professionals, managers, and senior stakeholders.

    * Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to encourage participation, manage discussion, and create an inclusive learning environment.

    * Comfortable delivering both virtually and in person.

    * Able to interpret learner information or assessment data and use it to shape delivery.

    * Experience using interactive learning methods such as simulations, group exercises, scenarios, role play, or case studies.

    * Strong communication skills, with the ability to make complex topics clear and relevant.

    * Commercial awareness and confidence representing a learning provider in employer-facing environments.

    * Collaborative approach, with the ability to work closely with coaches, curriculum teams, and client-facing colleagues.

    * Commitment to continuous professional development and improving facilitation practice.

    Education

    * A recognised qualification in teaching, training, facilitation, coaching, learning and development, or a related area would be advantageous.

    * Relevant professional development in leadership, management, behavioural skills, coaching, or workplace learning would also be beneficial.

    * Assessor, apprenticeship, or curriculum-related qualifications would be useful but are not essential.
