Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and hardworking Painter & Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, woodwork, and other surfaces for painting.
Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections and carry out sanding where required.
Apply paint, primer, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes.
Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools safely.
Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding areas from paint and damage.
Mix and match paints and colours according to specifications.
Maintain clean and tidy work areas throughout the job.
Inspect completed work and carry out touch-ups where necessary.
Follow health and safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Work independently or as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
Complete work within agreed timescales and to a high standard.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator is preferred.
Good knowledge of painting and surface preparation techniques.
Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
