How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will also contribute to risk mitigation, process improvement and the development of less experienced team members.

The role will primarily support a portfolio of lending, including real estate finance, SME working capital facilities, Islamic finance and occasional syndicated lending.

    Key Responsibilities

Review post-completion files within agreed timescales, ensuring limits, interest rates, collateral and fees are accurately recorded and maintained.

    Interest rate changes
    Bank and trade finance limits
    Islamic finance limits
    Lien management
    Security perfection and registration
    Collateral input and maintenance
    Limit expiry controls
    Insurance checks and updates
    Remediation activities

    Lease consent requests
Ensure outstanding matters are tracked and followed up within appropriate timescales.
Work closely with external solicitors on security perfection, lease consents, discharges, releases and other legal requirements.
Handle audit requests and provide supporting documentation as required.
Facilitate the empanelment of solicitors and valuers.
Maintain accurate management information and contribute to reporting requirements.
Contribute to property revaluations, including index-linked valuations.
Maintain and update relevant procedures and operational guidelines.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of enhancements.
Participate in Credit Administration projects and user acceptance testing.
Coach and mentor junior and less experienced members of the team.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure transactions and processes are managed efficiently and within agreed service levels.

    About You

You will have substantial experience within credit administration, ideally gained within a UK banking environment, with strong exposure to Buy-to-Let, residential and commercial property lending, SME banking and working capital facilities.

    You will bring:

10+ years' experience in credit administration and related processes.
Previous experience of people management or responsibility for supporting and developing team members.
Strong knowledge of credit documentation, security perfection, collateral management and property due diligence.
A strong understanding of risk mitigation and control processes.
Experience working with solicitors, valuers, auditors and multiple internal stakeholders.
Good knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and documentation requirements.
Experience with Islamic finance, particularly Commodity Murabaha and Diminishing Musharaka, would be advantageous.
An understanding of legal conveyancing would also be desirable.
Strong spreadsheet and database skills, with the ability to analyse and manage complex information.

    Key Attributes

We are looking for someone who is:

    Highly organised, accurate and detail-oriented.
Proactive and solutions-focused, with a positive can-do attitude.
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Confident engaging with colleagues and senior stakeholders across different business areas.
Able to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
Committed to maintaining high standards of risk management, governance and operational control.

    Why Join?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit administration professional to take a senior role within a specialist Credit function, with responsibility for critical processes, risk controls, stakeholder management and continuous improvement.

If you have extensive credit administration experience and are looking for a hands-on management role in a London-based banking environment, we would be pleased to hear from you
