How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As a Management Accountant in the industrial and manufacturing sector, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the business. From preparing management reports to analysing budgets, your work will help the company make informed financial decisions.

    A company within the industrial and manufacturing sector. Looking got a candidate to support the Financial Controller.

    Description

    Assist with month-end close procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss analysis and investigation of variances.
    Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting schedules.
    Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
    Assist with year-end accounts preparation, audit processes, and statutory reporting requirements.
    Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    Support standard cost management and transfer pricing processes.
    Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required by the Finance team.
    Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and best practices.
    Perform and review intercompany reconciliations.
    Provide timely financial information, reports, and analysis to support the Finance Manager and wider business decision-making.
    Profile

    A successful Management Accountant should have:

    CIMA / ACCA Studier / QBE
    Strong technical knowledge of double-entry accounting, reconciliations, and VAT.
    Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems (experience with Epicor is desirable).
    Proactive, collaborative, and committed to process improvement and continuous development.
    Job Offer

    Salary between £45,000 and £50,000, dependent on the level of experience.
    25 days of annual leave.
    Permanent position in the industrial and manufacturing sector.
