How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Social Housing Manager

    * Impressive £55,000 to £60,000 salary.

    * Working hours Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.

    Social Housing Manager

    You will work for a Property Management company who are a leading provider offering various housing solutions, including HMOs and emergency temporary housing for multiple disadvantaged victims of domestic abuse and some with mental health issues so you will need to be solution focussed.

    They actively engage in community service, support disabled living, and facilitate supported living initiatives and aim to tackle homelessness by offering diverse and inclusive housing options working on behalf of Councils and Charities.

    You will act in a Head of Operations role reporting directly to the Managing Director.

    You will supervise and be responsible for circa. 24 staff members of the property management team plus 4 in Accounts who require very little supervision.

    The property portfolio consists of some 1,600 properties with 450 of these which are privately owned.

    Social Housing Manager

    You will manage attendance and lateness, ensure staff are replying to calls, emails, performance, dealing with holidays, compliance and 1 to 1's.

    The post holder will be responsible for acting as the primary interface with residents, delivering an excellent customer focused housing management service that achieves the core service objectives with a focus on sustaining tenancies, improving the quality of life of residents and meeting key performance indicators and contract priorities.

    Social Housing Manager

    Key responsibilities:

    * Manage tenancy and leasehold issues as appropriate, undertaking extensive liaison with residents, colleagues, external partners such as the local authority, contractors and the voluntary sector in order to ensure outstanding outcomes for residents at all times.

    * Develop strong and effective working relationships with clients, resident representatives, elected members and other key stakeholders to create a positive impression.

    * Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of the housing management services upon the patch including responding to complaints and correspondence.

    * Managing response to anti-social behaviour cases.

    * Managing the voids process and re-letting of properties within contract targets.

    * Ensuring tenancy management issues are dealt with in a timely fashion and in line with council policies / statutory guidelines.

    * Leading on liaison with council departments / contractors on arrears management and repairs and maintenance issues.

    * Leading on estate inspections on the patch and collaborating with contractors to ensure high standards of cleaning and grounds maintenance are delivered and communal repairs logged and completed as required.

    * Leading on resident engagement initiatives upon the patch.

    * Attend and participate in forums, review panels, partnerships meetings, tenant and resident meetings, community events as required.
