How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a hands-on sales role focused on developing motor factor and automotive accessory retail accounts across your territory. We're looking for someone with industry experience, strong customer relationships and the drive to help accelerate the growth of an already successful business.

Location: Field Based - Northeast England & Scotland - ideal locations include Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Carlisle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and surrounding areas throughout the Northeast and Southern Scotland

Salary: £40,000 basic + car allowance + uncapped commission

Working with a portfolio of well-established automotive aftermarket brands, you'll manage existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities.

We're looking for somebody who enjoys being out in the field, meeting customers, developing opportunities and driving territory growth. You'll have the autonomy to manage your own diary and make commercial decisions that positively impact your region.

    About You

You'll be a motivated and self-sufficient sales professional who thrives when working directly with customers. You'll enjoy being on the road, building relationships and creating opportunities through proactive business development activity.

    You'll ideally have:

Proven field sales experience within the automotive aftermarket sector.
Experience selling into motor factors, automotive accessory retailers or similar customer channels.
A strong network of industry contacts across Northeast England and/or Scotland.
A successful track record of growing a sales territory and developing existing accounts.
    Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of margin management.
The ability to work independently and manage your own territory effectively.
A proactive, self-motivated approach and a desire to exceed targets.
    A full UK driving licence.
A passion for customer engagement and face-to-face selling. Key Responsibilities

Managing and developing an established sales territory across Northeast England and Scotland.
Growing existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Selling a broad portfolio of automotive aftermarket products and increasing product penetration within customer accounts.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with motor factors, accessory retailers and other automotive aftermarket customers.
Prospecting new customers and developing a robust territory pipeline.
Supporting customers with product launches, promotions, merchandising and sales growth initiatives.
Negotiating commercially beneficial agreements whilst maintaining profitability.
Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
Providing market feedback and customer insight to support business growth.
Delivering against territory sales targets and business objectives. Why Join Us?

Join a successful and ambitious automotive aftermarket business with exciting growth plans.
Be part of a company that continues to invest in its people, brands and future development.
Enjoy the freedom and autonomy of a genuine field-based sales role.
Work with an established customer base while having the opportunity to develop new business.
Benefit from uncapped earning potential and a rewarding commission structure.
Take ownership of your own territory and make a tangible impact on business growth.
Receive a competitive salary, car allowance and comprehensive benefits package.
Be part of a supportive and entrepreneurial team environment. Apply in Confidence
