How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Manufacturing Engineer opportunity with a leading manufacturer. Drive lean improvements, optimise assembly processes, create work instructions, improve layouts and tooling, and support SAP routings.     Manufacturing Engineer
    Marden, Kent
    Salary: £36k - £45k DOE
    Hours: Mon – Fri, 39hrs per week
    Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to play a key role in improving assembly operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting business growth.
    The Role
    As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for optimising assembly processes, improving productivity, enhancing quality standards, and delivering practical shop floor improvements.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Develop and standardise assembly build processes across product ranges.
    * Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions.
    * Support quality improvements and promote a no-fault-forward culture.
    * Develop visual management tools, KPI boards and production metrics.
    * Lead and support Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
    * Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve flow.
    * Design and implement jigs, fixtures and specialist tooling.
    * Improve material handling through racks, trolleys and storage solutions.
    * Manage tooling requirements and maintain tooling records.
    * Develop and update factory layouts using CAD software.
    * Review engineering change requests and action engineering change notices.
    * Create and maintain production routings within SAP.
    * Analyse production performance and challenge existing build times.
    * Support value stream mapping, FMEA activities and improvement projects.
    What We're Looking For
    * Experience within a manufacturing or assembly engineering environment.
    * Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
    * Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
    * Experience working with SAP and production routings.
    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    * Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
    * Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    * Experience of process improvement, VSM and FMEA would be advantageous.
