How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Working Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.00pm.

    The Management Information Officer plays an integral role in the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The core responsibility from this role is to provide accurate reporting based on business and department performance, and to make informed recommendations to the senior management team, in turn allowing them to make crucial decisions about future planning and sales.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Deliver a daily, weekly and monthly reporting suite in line with business KPIs.

    * Maintain and update reporting requirements in line with business change.

    * Implementation of new reporting when required to support business strategy.

    * Monitor business and department efficiencies and results.

    * Present results effectively to senior managers, and department managers.

    * Review of reporting with senior managers to identify problems, and come up with comprehensive solutions for improvement.

    * Innovative and creative in identifying areas for improvement across the business, in providing solutions, and in monitoring outcomes.

    * Constant review of current process to optimise automation and ensure reporting is in line with business needs.

    * Provide in-depth analysis on data and product to maximise sales.

    * Take responsibility for own development and ensure continuous improvement.

    * Maintain all records in line with GDPR regulations and keep updated with change in policy to ensure business conforms to legislation.

    * Build reporting dashboards to collate data together in a easily accessible format.

    Specifications:

    * Excellent knowledge and understanding of advanced SQL database languages, structured data, analytics suites, and joining of multiple data sources to produce the reporting required.

    * Proficient in understanding deep and complex relationships between data sets.

    * Must have a keen eye for detail, an aptitude for divergent thinking, and an inquisitive mind.

    * Excellent overall computer and excel skills.

    * Ability to work autonomously to unearth areas for improvement, alongside a defined schedule of reporting.

    * Ability to produce accurate work, with confidence in checking own work.

    * Ability to create coherent and easily understandable reports, which will form an instrumental part in business practices and decisions.

    * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    * Talented in identifying problems and providing solutions.

    * Ability to manage own time and deliver work within service level.

    * Ability to prioritise workload, and adapt priorities in line with business change.

    * Ability to multi-task a multitude of duties.

    * An eagerness to drive positive change, and a passion for seeing results.

    * Knowledge of Zoho / Zoho Analytics suite desired, but not essential.
