How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a DevOps Engineer who wants to move beyond maintaining infrastructure and play a key role in building a modern platform from the ground up?

    I'm working with a fast growing AI startup that is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its engineering team and take ownership of some genuinely interesting infrastructure challenges.

    The business is embarking on a fresh Kubernetes implementation, so this is an opportunity to get involved at a point where your technical decisions will have a real impact on how the platform is built, deployed and operated.

    🏗️ What will you be doing?
    ✨You'll be responsible for helping design, build and continuously improve the infrastructure and deployment ecosystem supporting the wider engineering function

    Your responsibilities will include:
    ✨Designing, implementing and maintaining scalable, secure and highly available infrastructure
    ✨Taking a role in the implementation and ongoing development of Kubernetes
    ✨Working extensively with AWS to build and operate cloud infrastructure
    ✨Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
    ✨Building, improving and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
    ✨Automating repetitive operational processes and reducing manual intervention
    ✨Supporting containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
    ✨Monitoring infrastructure and application performance and improving overall reliability
    ✨Improving security, resilience and operational best practices across the platform
    ✨Contributing to the evolution of the organisation's Platform Engineering capability
