How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Location: Bristol Contract Length: ~2 years Start: Immediate Hours: 07:30–17:30 (approx.) Pay: (Negotiable) / £50–60k (perm potential)

    Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to oversee the full logistics package on a major construction project in Bristol. This role requires someone who has run a logistics package end‑to‑end, not just supervised small teams. You will coordinate deliveries, manage traffic operations, and ensure smooth logistical flow across a busy site.

This is an urgent requirement due to a manager leaving the project, so the successful candidate must be able to start immediately.

    Key Responsibilities

Manage the full site logistics package on a live construction project.

Operate and oversee the delivery management system (training provided; system is simple and similar to industry-standard platforms).

Coordinate daily and weekly site logistics meetings.

Manage and direct traffic marshals, delivery teams, and on‑site logistics operatives.

Ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles, materials, and equipment.

Liaise with the Contracts Manager and wider site team to maintain programme alignment.

Oversee delivery scheduling, booking systems, and gatehouse operations.

Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and logistics protocols.

Support induction and handover processes for logistics personnel.

    Requirements

Proven experience running a logistics package on a construction project.

Strong understanding of delivery management systems and site logistics coordination.

Experience managing traffic marshals and delivery teams.

    Valid  SSSTS or SMSTS certification.

    Strong communication and organisational skills.

    Ability to start immediately
