How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CNC Miller / Havant / Permanent / £18 - £19ph

    Are you an experienced CNC Miller with strong programming, setting and operating skills and a keen eye for precision?

    Join a growing specialist engineering and manufacturing business investing in modern systems, equipment and processes. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of a close-knit manufacturing team as the business enters a period of significant growth.

    As an Experienced CNC Miller, you will manufacture precision components using CNC and manual milling equipment, while working closely with engineering and other manufacturing teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program, set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
    Operate CNC and manual milling equipment safely and accurately.
    Interpret technical drawings and work to precise specifications.
    Inspect completed components using appropriate measuring equipment.
    Monitor manufacturing times using the company’s ERP system.
    Identify and resolve machining and production issues.
    Work closely with engineering, CNC turning and manual machining teams.
    Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and shopfloor professionalism.
    Skills & Knowledge Required

    5+ years’ experience in CNC milling.
    Strong CNC milling programming, setting and operating skills.
    Experience with manual milling.
    Hurco machine experience is beneficial.
    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    Confident using inspection and measurement equipment.
    Good mathematical and measurement skills.
    Self-motivated, reliable and able to solve problems independently.
