How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Apprenticeship Coordinator

    Location: Brightlingsea, Essex

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum pro rata

    The Opportunity

Are you an organised Apprenticeship Coordinator, Apprenticeship Administrator, Learner Recruitment Officer or Compliance professional looking for a part-time role within the employability and skills sector?

This is an exciting opportunity to support the smooth recruitment and onboarding of new apprenticeship learners, while helping strengthen relationships with employers and training partners.

The role combines learner recruitment, onboarding, administration, compliance and stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across different areas of apprenticeship delivery and wants to make a direct contribution to learner outcomes.

This is not a traditional business development role. While you will support employer engagement and help identify opportunities, the focus is on building positive relationships rather than high-pressure sales or cold-business development.

    About the Organisation

Our client is a UK charity creating learning opportunities through education, vocational skills, community engagement and maritime heritage.

The organisation delivers programmes designed to widen participation and create meaningful opportunities for learners to develop practical and vocational skills.

As the organisation continues to develop its learning provision, this role will play an important part in creating a more streamlined and effective journey from learner recruitment and onboarding through to programme participation and progression.

    The Role

As the Apprenticeship Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator, you will support the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process for new learners while providing effective administrative and compliance support across apprenticeship provision.

You will work closely with learners, employers, training providers and internal colleagues to ensure new apprentices are recruited efficiently, fully onboarded and ready to begin their learning journey.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Coordinate and streamline the recruitment and onboarding process for new apprenticeship learners.

    * Support learner enquiries, applications, enrolment and associated administration.

    * Ensure learner records and documentation are accurate, complete and maintained appropriately.

    * Support compliance checks and ensure required information is captured throughout the recruitment process.

    * Liaise with training providers and relevant stakeholders to coordinate learner onboarding.

    * Engage with new and existing employers to support apprenticeship opportunities and maintain positive relationships.

    * Help identify potential employer opportunities without a focus on high-volume or hard-sales business development.

    * Provide clear information and guidance to learners and employers throughout the onboarding journey.

    * Monitor recruitment activity and help identify opportunities to improve processes and conversion.

    * Support learner engagement and progression once apprentices have joined the programme.

    * Assist with events, outreach and promotional activities where required.

    * Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and project administration.

    * Support safeguarding, equality, diversity and other organisational requirements.

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a positive learner and employer experience.

    The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable working across administration, compliance and learner recruitment.

You could come from an apprenticeship, training provider, further education, employability or education administration background.

    You will ideally have:

    * Experience working within apprenticeships, education, training or vocational learning.

    * Experience in learner recruitment, admissions, onboarding, compliance or programme administration.

    * Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage accurate learner documentation.

    * Experience communicating confidently with learners, employers and external stakeholders.

    * Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    * A professional and personable approach to stakeholder engagement.

    * Some experience of employer engagement, sales support or identifying new opportunities.

    * Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems.

    * An understanding of safeguarding and working within a regulated learning environment.

    * A proactive approach to improving processes and making recruitment and onboarding more efficient.

Experience of apprenticeship funding, learner records, compliance or training-provider processes would be highly advantageous.

    Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to combine apprenticeship administration, learner recruitment, compliance and employer engagement without moving into a traditional Business Development role.

You will have the opportunity to help improve the recruitment and onboarding journey for new learners while supporting the growth of apprenticeship provision and building positive relationships with employers.

The role offers 2.5 days per week, with a salary of £35,000 per annum pro rata, on a fixed-term contract through to August 2029.

    Apply Now

If you have experience in apprenticeship administration, learner recruitment, onboarding, compliance or training provision and are looking for a part-time opportunity with a varied remit, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today to become the Apprenticeship Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator and play a key role in helping new learners successfully begin their apprenticeship journey
