How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Project Manager

    A leading building services contractor is delivering complex engineering solutions across some of the UK’s most prestigious commercial, residential, healthcare, education, data centre and infrastructure projects.

    With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the commercial sector, we are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of a major commercial development in London.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business and play a key role in delivering a high-value electrical package as part of an overall MEP package exceeding £50m, working closely with operational teams, clients, consultants and specialist subcontractors.

    The Role
    As an Electrical Project Manager, you will take ownership of a key electrical package on a major commercial development. Reporting into an experienced Project Director and supported by an established delivery team, you will be responsible for managing electrical works from preconstruction through to completion.

    You will oversee the successful delivery of complex electrical installations, ensuring packages are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

    The role will involve managing electrical systems and specialist packages across the development, working closely with internal teams, consultants and supply chain partners to ensure effective coordination and successful project delivery.

    You will lead electrical delivery activities, coordinate subcontractors, manage technical queries and ensure all electrical systems are installed, tested, commissioned and handed over in line with project specifications and client requirements.

    Key Responsibilities
    Manage the full electrical delivery package on a major commercial development
    Take ownership of electrical works from preconstruction through to completion
    Report into the Project Director within an established project delivery team
    Manage electrical subcontractors, engineers and site teams to ensure safe and successful delivery
    Oversee electrical installation through to testing, commissioning and handover
    Coordinate with mechanical, CSA and wider project teams to ensure effective MEP integration
    Review drawings, specifications and technical information
    Manage RFIs, technical queries and design coordination
    Monitor progress, quality, compliance and programme delivery
    Support commercial teams with variations and change management
    Coordinate with clients, consultants, designers and specialist subcontractors
    Lead testing, commissioning and handover activities
    Promote strong health & safety standards and a right-first-time approach
    Ensure electrical works are delivered in accordance with project requirements, specifications and relevant standardsAbout You
    Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the MEP/building services sector
    Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services and installations
    Experience delivering large-scale commercial developments is highly desirable
    Experience managing significant electrical packages and specialist subcontractors
    Experience taking projects from preconstruction through to completion
    Strong understanding of electrical installation, testing, commissioning and handover processes
    Confident managing clients, consultants, engineers and supply chain partners
    Strong organisational skills with commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities
