How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Remote Business Development Manager | Financial Services
    UK | Predominantly Remote | £45,000–£60,000 + 15% Bonus + Benefits | 12-Month FTC

Ready to Take Ownership of Your Market?
Are you an experienced Business Development Manager or Broker Consultant within UK financial services, with a strong understanding of investments and a proven track record of developing relationships and winning business through financial advisers and intermediaries?
I’m recruiting for an established organisation looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced BDM.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating new opportunities and taking ownership of their own pipeline, with the flexibility of a predominantly remote role.
You’ll have plenty of autonomy and will play an important role in developing the organisation’s presence and commercial opportunities within the market.

    The Role
You’ll be responsible for developing new business, building relationships and identifying opportunities across the financial-services market.
    You’ll be involved in:

Developing and converting new business opportunities
Building and growing relationships with financial advisers, intermediaries and professional distribution partners
Identifying new markets, opportunities and areas for growth
Managing your own sales pipeline, activity and priorities
Building awareness of the organisation and its proposition within the market
Presenting propositions and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders
Keeping up to date with market developments and competitor activity
Working closely with internal teams to maximise commercial opportunities
    Negotiating and influencing effectively
Sharing valuable market insight with the wider commercial team
The role is predominantly remote, with some travel for client meetings, industry events and internal requirements as needed.

    What Are We Looking For?
We’re looking for someone who understands the UK financial-services distribution market and has experience developing commercial relationships with financial advisers, intermediaries or similar professional partners.
You’ll ideally have experience as a Business Development Manager, Broker Consultant, Intermediary Sales professional or in a similar adviser-facing commercial role.
    You’ll bring:

Proven business development experience within UK financial services
Direct experience working with financial advisers, intermediaries or professional distribution partners
A strong understanding of the investment and wealth market
Good knowledge of investments, wealth products and/or investment propositions
A proven track record of developing new business and growing existing relationships
Strong commercial awareness and a results-focused approach
Excellent relationship management, communication and influencing skills
    Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
    Strong organisation and time management
The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your territory, relationships and pipeline
Experience within investment platforms, asset management, fund management, wealth management, investment providers or financial-services distribution would be particularly relevant.
Relevant knowledge of the UK regulatory environment would also be advantageous.

    Why This Opportunity?
This is a role for someone who wants the autonomy to own their relationships and make a visible commercial impact.
    You’ll have the opportunity to:

Build and develop your own network within the financial-services market
Create new business opportunities and directly influence growth
Work closely with senior stakeholders and internal teams
Enjoy a predominantly remote working environment
Take ownership of your pipeline, relationships and activity

    Interested?
If you’re an experienced Financial Services BDM or Broker Consultant who understands the adviser and intermediary market, enjoys building genuine commercial relationships and is motivated by creating new business, I’d love to hear from you.
