How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    White Label Recruitment are exclusively representing a growing design, engineering and manufacturing business in East Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technician to join their expanding design team.

    This is a hands-on Revit position combined with some light-touch leadership responsibility for a small team of 2–3 people.

    The Company

    The company is an established and growing UK business that designs, manufactures and delivers technically complex building projects across several sectors.

    They have a strong pipeline of projects and continue to invest in their design and engineering teams, with a big focus on developing people and providing genuine long-term career opportunities.

    This position is being recruited exclusively by White Label Recruitment.

    The Role

    As Senior Architectural Technician, you'll play a key role within the design team, producing detailed architectural designs using Revit across projects within the defence, education and healthcare sectors.

    The business specialises in off-site/modular construction, so you'll work closely with the wider design, engineering, manufacturing and project teams to ensure designs aren't just technically correct, but practical and buildable.

    You'll remain very hands-on technically while also providing day-to-day support to a small team of 2–3 people.

    The management side of the position is deliberately light touch. You won't be spending your days doing appraisals and people management. Instead, you'll help distribute workload, prioritise work and act as the go-to person when members of the team have technical questions or need support.

    Responsibilities will include:

    * Producing detailed architectural designs and technical information using Revit. Working on modular building projects across the defence, education and healthcare sectors.

    * Developing and maintaining Revit families, templates and standard details.

    * Producing accurate, coordinated and buildable designs.

    * Taking ownership of architectural design work throughout different stages of a project.

    * Supporting a small team of 2–3 people with their day-to-day workload. Distributing and prioritising work across the team. Acting as the first point of contact for technical/design queries within the team.

    * Reviewing design information and supporting less experienced members of the team where required.

    * Working closely with Architects, Design Managers, Engineers and other members of the wider project team. Liaising with manufacturing/factory teams to ensure designs can be practically manufactured and assembled. Working with site teams to resolve design queries and technical issues.

    * Supporting factory testing, sampling and design development.

    It's an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys the technical, hands-on side of architectural design but is ready to become more of a senior/go-to person within a growing team.

    The Person

    To be considered for this position, strong Revit experience is essential.

    You'll ideally have:

    * Previous experience as a Senior Architectural Technician, Architectural Technician, Architectural Technologist, Senior Architectural Technologist or similar.

    * Strong hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit – this is essential for the position.

    * Experience producing detailed architectural drawings and technical design information.

    * A good understanding of construction detailing and producing practical, buildable designs.

    * Experience coordinating architectural designs with other disciplines.

    * Previous modular/off-site construction experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.

    * Experience within defence, education or healthcare projects would also be beneficial but isn't essential.

    * Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    * Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple project priorities.

    * A relevant qualification within Architectural Technology, Architecture, Construction or a related discipline would be beneficial.

    You don't need to be an experienced people manager. The company is looking for someone technically strong who can naturally become a go-to person for a small team while remaining heavily involved in Revit and project delivery.

    Package & Benefits

    * Salary up to £55,000, dependent on experience.

    * Bonus worth up to 30%, made up of company, team and individual performance.

    * 26 days' holiday + bank holidays.

    * 37.5-hour working week - Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm with a one-hour lunch. Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm.

    * Hybrid working – typically 1 day working from home per week / 4 days per month.

    * Potential for additional WFH flexibility depending on the successful person's location and at the manager's discretion.

    * Medical benefits.

    * Electric company car scheme.

    * Structured career development pathway. Support towards further qualifications and professional courses.

    * Genuine opportunities to progress upwards or move sideways into other areas of the business.

    * Opportunity to work on technically interesting projects across the defence, education and healthcare sectors.

    This vacancy is being recruited exclusively by White Label Recruitment.

    If you're an experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist with strong Revit experience and you're looking for a senior position offering excellent earning potential, career progression and the opportunity to work on technically interesting projects, please apply for further information
