How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This Senior Finance Manager role focuses on portfolio operations and cost governance within this property organisation in London. This is a senior business partnering role with real influence, guiding operational decision-making, bringing clarity to cost performance and ensuring value for money across a complex, high-profile portfolio.

    Description

    Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the Senior Finance Manager will manage a team of Analysts and act as the primary finance partner to the Head of Portfolio Operations and their leadership team. Your duties will include:

    Providing clear commercial insight and challenge across operational cost performance, risks and opportunities
    Lead performance reviews and deliver compelling financial narratives for senior stakeholders
    Partner with Property Management to manage service charge budgets, recoveries and variances
    Lead the annual operating cost budget and develop a three year operating and capital cost plan
    Own the full cost base including headcount, controllable costs, project support costs, allocations, discretionary spend and overheads
    Build an maintain a single source of truth for all costs, including dashboards showing run-rates, risks, opportunities, trends and efficiencies
    Oversee BAU Capex reporting, ensuring all spend, progress and forecasts are accurately tracked.Profile

    The successful Senior Finance Manager will be CCAB Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) and have previous exposure to managing costs within a Real Estate/Property organisation. This should include a thorough understanding of Service Charge costings.

    Alongside your excellent knowledge of cost governance and financial controls, you will have previously managed and developed a team of people and have excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
