How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Duration: Until March 2027***Experience with NoSQL Databases is absolutely essential***

    Overview

We're looking for a Test Engineer to join a public sector programme in a role that's heavily focused on data and database testing, alongside integration and API work. You'll be working across Java and TypeScript codebases, using Selenium and Playwright for automation, with NoSQL database experience being critical to this role given the data-heavy nature of the systems involved.

    Key Responsibilities

Carry out data and database testing, ensuring data integrity, consistency and correctness across systems
Test integrations between services, validating data flow end to end
Perform API testing, covering functional correctness, edge cases and error handling
Work across Java and TypeScript codebases to build and maintain test scripts
Collaborate with developers and BAs to understand data models and integration points
Report on testing progress, defects and risks clearly and consistently

    Key Requirements

Strong experience with Java and TypeScript
Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright
Solid experience testing NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB, though other NoSQL platforms considered
Proven experience with data and database testing, not just UI level testing
Strong experience testing integrations and APIs
Previous experience working within Government or public sector programmes

    Desirable

Experience working across both SQL and NoSQL environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution
