Salary: £172.89 - £220 per day

TeacherActive is delighted to partner with a mainstream secondary school in the Newport area, currently recruiting a Welsh Teacher. The school is committed to providing high-quality education within a welcoming and inclusive environment, fostering students’ confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning.

This long-term temporary position offers an immediate start. The successful candidate will teach Welsh across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and contribute positively to the broader school community.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply

• Experience teaching Welsh within a UK secondary school setting

• Strong understanding of the Welsh curriculum up to Key Stage 4

• Exceptional classroom management skills

• Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging, effective Welsh lessons

• Positive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
