Location: Lathom, Lancashire
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join a well-established technical and engineering facility based in Lathom.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an electrical engineering background who is looking to develop their career within Facilities Management. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you will support the effective management and maintenance of the site while coordinating contractors, maintenance activities and facilities projects.
The Role
As Assistant Facilities Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and implementing routine and preventative maintenance
* Coordinating on-site permanent and temporary contractors
* Supporting the successful delivery of facilities and maintenance projects
* Supervising electrical inspections and maintaining accurate records
* Ensuring maintenance and project work complies with relevant legislation
* Updating and maintaining site drawings
* Prioritising workloads and responding to maintenance requirements
* Liaising with internal departments, contractors and other stakeholders
* Supporting the overall safe and efficient operation of the site
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
* Experience with electrical wiring installations
* Knowledge of single and three-phase supply distribution
* Experience within an engineering, maintenance or facilities environment
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD
* Good Microsoft Office skills
* Experience coordinating contractors would be advantageous
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* The confidence to communicate professionally with people at all levels
This position could suit an Assistant Facilities Manager, Facilities Engineer, Electrical Facilities Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Facilities Coordinator, Site Services Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor looking to progress within Facilities Management.
