How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Registered Manager – Children's Home, Leatherhead (Permanent)

    Location: Leatherhead, Surrey

    Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience)

    £60 per sleep-in

    Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week

    Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with North Star Children's Homes to recruit a Registered Manager for their residential children's home in the Leatherhead area of Surrey.

    North Star is a growing residential childcare provider supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and this is a genuine leadership opportunity in an established home with a settled group of children.

    The Role

    As Registered Manager, you will:

    Hold registration with Ofsted and take overall responsibility for the home's care, compliance, and quality standards.

    Lead, develop, and supervise the staff team, building a stable and child-centred culture.

    Ensure care planning, risk management, and safeguarding practice meet the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

    Manage admissions, matching, and transitions so that placements are right for the children.

    Work closely with placing authorities, schools, health partners, and families.

    Drive continuous improvement in preparation for Ofsted inspection.

    About You

    You will be an experienced residential childcare leader with:

    A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential).

    Experience of registration, Ofsted inspections, and supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

    Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted framework.

    A child-centred leadership style with the resilience to manage complexity and risk.
