How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    NEW VACANCY! (PT3273)

    PRESS MINDER - LITHO PRINT

    CAMBRIDGESHIRE

    Salary: Generous £Hourly Rate + Overtime at Time 1/3 + Attendance Allowance + 20 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays (increases to 25 over 5 years, 1 day per year)

    Hours: Rotating 2 week pattern
    Week 1: Sunday - Tuesday, 6:00am - 6:00pm / Sunday paid at time and 1/3
    Week 2: Monday - Wednesday, 6:00am - 6:00pm

    We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established printing and manufacturing business for an experienced Press Minder / Litho Press Operator to join their production team in Cambridgeshire.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lithographic printer looking for a stable role, attractive hourly rates and a compressed working pattern that offers plenty of days off.

    You will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring lithographic printing equipment, ensuring production runs are completed efficiently and to the required quality standards.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Setting up and operating lithographic printing presses.
    Monitoring production throughout print runs and making adjustments where required.
    Ensuring printed work matches approved proofs and colour standards.
    Checking registration, backing-up and overall print quality.
    Maintaining consistent quality and minimising waste and rework.
    Completing required production and quality documentation.
    Carrying out routine cleaning and maintenance of the press.
    Reporting any machinery, quality or production issues promptly.
    Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised production environment.
    Working closely with production, finishing, quality and planning teams.We are looking for an experienced Litho Press Minder / Lithographic Printer with a strong understanding of the print production process.
    Ideally, you will have:

    Previous experience operating lithographic printing presses.
    Experience with Heidelberg SM74 equipment would be highly advantageous.
    A good understanding of colour control and print quality.
    Strong attention to detail.
    The ability to work to production targets and deadlines.
    A good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
