We are currently recruiting an experienced 360 excavator operator for a contract role on a major commercial and leisure development in the Carlisle area.
Working alongside an established main contractor, you will be operating a 360 machine to assist with groundworks, drainage, and structural earthworks across the site. This is a great opportunity to secure consistent hours on a fast-paced commercial job.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operating a 360 excavator (above and below 10 tonnes) to carry out deep drainage, trenching, foundations, and muck shifts.
Assisting groundworkers and site teams with precision digging, grading, and material distribution.
Unloading and moving heavy site materials in line with site management plans.
Conducting daily plant inspections, recording pre-use checks, and maintaining the machine to a high standard.
Adhering strictly to site health and safety protocols, including pedestrian segregation zones and safe working loads.
Requirements:
Valid CPCS or NPORS Card for 360 Excavator (Tracked, Above & Below 10t).
Proven experience operating a 360 excavator on commercial construction or civil engineering projects.
Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
Full UK Driving Licence.
A proactive, safety-conscious work ethic and excellent punctuality.
Based in or easily commutable to the Carlisle area.
