How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Electrical Engineering Trainer (Full Training Provided)

    Aberdeen

    £39,000 - £42,000 + Full Training + Pension + 5 Weeks Holiday + Christmas Closure + Public Holidays

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to move into a training role?

Do you want to step away from industry and into a rewarding position where you can pass on your knowledge, support apprentices, and help develop the next generation of Electrical Engineering professionals?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing training provider in a permanent role created due to expansion. You'll be joining at an exciting time, supporting young apprentices through their training journey while using your own industry experience to help them build confidence, technical ability, and long-term career skills.

As an Electrical Engineering Instructor, you'll deliver in-house training across a range of Electrical Engineering programmes. This will include classroom-based teaching, practical workshop delivery, and assessment, covering everything from core electrical principles through to more advanced areas such as PLCs.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering and strong hands-on industry experience. Teaching experience is not essential, as full training and development can be provided. What matters most is that you have the right technical foundation, a genuine passion for passing on knowledge, and the enthusiasm to move into a training environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering professional to transition into education, gain teaching and assessing qualifications, and make a lasting impact on apprentices entering the industry.

    The role:

*Deliver in-house Electrical Engineering training to apprentices.
*Teach across classroom and workshop-based environments.
*Cover topics from basic Electrical Engineering principles through to areas such as PLCs.
*Work with typical cohort sizes of around 12 learners.
*Deliver a varied mix of teaching, training, practical support, and assessment.
*Full-time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week.
    *Working hours of 8:00am - 4:15pm.
*Full training and development provided, including support towards SQA Assessor and Verifier Awards.
*Excellent package including pension, five weeks annual leave, paid Christmas closure, public holidays, and Sage HR benefits.

    The person:

*Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
*Hands-on Electrical Engineering experience highly desirable.
*Degree-level or graduate candidates may also be considered with the right attitude and potential.
*Broad electrical knowledge would be beneficial.
    *Teaching experience not essential.
*Assessor or verifier experience advantageous but not essential.
*Motivated by passing on knowledge and supporting apprentices.
*Willing to learn the training, assessment, and education side of the role.
*Strong team fit, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for developing learners.
*Looking for a long-term opportunity within training and education.
