Trainee Welder

Trainee Welder – Just Temps is supporting our client in their search for 2 x Trainee Welders, based in the Sudbury, Suffolk area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation who will teach you everything you need to know in relation to Welding and Fabrication.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within engineering. The role will initially be a temporary position for up to 12 weeks and for the right candidate will go permanent!

About the role:

You will learn and develop the skills required to carry out welding and fabrication work safely. You will work under the supervision of experienced welders and will ideally you will need your own transport as the role will be travelling around to clients’ sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Learn and develop MIG, TIG and/or MMA welding techniques as required
Read and understand engineering drawings and welding instructions
Prepare, cut, fit and weld metal components
Use welding equipment, hand tools and workshop machinery safely
Attend relevant training and work towards welding/fabrication qualifications

Physical Requirements:

Comfortable working in a workshop environment
Able to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely
Willing to work around welding fumes, heat and workshop noise while following appropriate safety controls
