GSL Education is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Boston from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and young people and wants to play an active role in supporting their learning, confidence, and development.
You will work alongside teachers and support staff to provide additional help in the classroom, supporting pupils both academically and personally and helping create a positive environment where students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils during lessons and classroom activities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required
Assist teachers with learning resources and classroom preparation
Encourage students to participate and remain engaged with their learning
Support positive behaviour and help pupils develop confidence
Provide additional support to pupils with SEND and other learning needs
Build positive relationships with students and school staff
Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
A patient, supportive, and positive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
