How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Summary

    Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm.

    We are looking for a responsible individual for supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse and wider operations function, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of goods.

    Working as part of a collaborative operations team, the role contributes to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service while supporting the timely delivery of projects. This position offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional development within a growing business.

    Key Responsibilities

    – Support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of goods.

    – Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, particularly during peak operational periods.

    – Book goods into and out of the warehouse, ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded.

    – Move stock safely and efficiently between warehouse locations as required.

    – Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch in accordance with company quality standards.

    – Collate dispatch paperwork, delivery documentation, and run sheets for outbound deliveries.

    – Book delivery slots for inbound goods and coordinate with suppliers and transport providers.

    – Monitor vehicle arrivals and proactively chase late deliveries to minimise operational disruption.

    – Collect, upload, and maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation in line with agreed service levels.

    – Assist in resolving invoice and delivery queries by liaising with internal departments and external suppliers.

    – Build and assemble furniture and other required items in accordance with company specifications and quality standards

    – Maintain accurate stock records, conduct routine stock checks, and report damaged or missing items promptly.

    – Ensure warehouse areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety procedures.

    – Provide general operational and warehouse support, undertaking additional duties as required to meet business needs.

    – Contribute to achieving operational performance targets and company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through efficient, accurate, and proactive working practices.

    Essential

    – Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift Truck licences/certificates.

    – Previous experience working within a warehouse and logistics environment.

    – Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    – Full, clean UK driving licence.

    – Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

    – Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock, documentation, and systems.

    – Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

    – Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
