How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Is able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high standard of work

Experience with SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign would also be advantageous.

    The Role

As an Architect, you will play an important role in the design and delivery of a variety of projects, working closely with colleagues, clients, contractors and other consultants.

You will be responsible for developing architectural designs that respond to client requirements, project budgets, programme constraints and relevant statutory requirements.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Developing architectural designs in line with project briefs and the RIBA Plan of Work

Producing high-quality drawings, models, presentations and technical information

Contributing to the development and coordination of design proposals

Working collaboratively with Architects, Architectural Technologists, consultants and other project team members

Developing sustainable and commercially viable design solutions

Selecting appropriate materials and considering durability, sustainability and whole-life performance

Producing and contributing to project specifications and technical information

Assisting with cost-conscious design development and value engineering

Participating in design reviews, coordination meetings and project workshops

Checking your own work to ensure information is accurate, coordinated and compliant

Assisting with planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and other statutory requirements

Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and statutory authorities

Attending project meetings and contributing to the resolution of design and technical issues

Supporting the project team during construction and helping to resolve design-related queries

Maintaining a high standard of document control and project information management

Contributing to the continued development of the wider architectural team

    Skills & Experience

    The ideal candidate will have:
