How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Rising Hope Education is recruiting an Autism & Communication Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in East London from September.

    You'll work within a Year 4 class, supporting children with autism and associated communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs.

    We're looking for somebody who gets SEND.

    Someone who understands that a child becoming dysregulated, withdrawing or refusing an activity isn't necessarily simply being "difficult".

    Instead, you're willing to ask:

    What is this child trying to communicate?

    You'll support pupils with their communication, structured learning, sensory needs, emotional regulation, transitions, social development and independence.

    You may also gain exposure to different approaches to communication and autism support, including visual communication, AAC, Makaton, Attention Autism and Intensive Interaction.

    You don't necessarily need to arrive knowing all of these approaches.

    You need to want to learn them.

    We'd particularly like to hear from:

    * Experienced SEND Teaching Assistants

    * Autism Support Workers

    * Learning Support Assistants

    * Psychology graduates

    * Care or support workers

    * Behaviour mentors

    * Graduates considering careers within SEND

    The successful candidate will be calm, emotionally intelligent, resilient and genuinely interested in understanding autism and communication.

    For somebody wanting to build a long-term career within SEND, this is an excellent opportunity to develop substantial specialist experience.

    £110 per day | September start | Full-time 08:30 - 16:30 | Long-term
