How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

When people data is accurate, accessible and well managed, the whole HR function works better. As a People Systems Administrator, you'll help make that happen, taking ownership of day-to-day system queries, maintaining reliable information and supporting improvements that make processes easier for everyone who uses them.

Working as part of a small team within an established organisation, you'll have plenty of variety, from reporting and system configuration to testing upgrades and new functionality. With hybrid working and the opportunity to build valuable HRIS expertise, this is a great contract for someone who enjoys the systems and data side of HR.

    What’s in it for you

Salary of £26,000 - £31,000, depending on experience.
Hybrid working, giving you greater flexibility across your working week.
A 12-month fixed-term contract within an established organisation.
Hands-on involvement in HR system configuration, maintenance and development.
Exposure to system upgrades, testing and the introduction of new functionality.
The opportunity to influence process improvements and strengthen your HR systems expertise.
Your responsibilities as People Systems Administrator

Act as the first point of contact for incoming system queries, resolving requests or escalating more complex issues when required.
Maintain accurate HR data, documentation, system structures and training management information.
Produce and maintain a catalogue of reports, providing accurate information to internal customers when required.
Support regular system upgrades through testing and identification of potential issues.
Assist with system configuration, new functionality trials and user acceptance testing.
Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and support continuous improvement across the function.
What we’re looking for in a People Systems Administrator

Previous HR or payroll systems administration experience, including system configuration and maintenance.
Practical experience working across HRIS platforms and supporting system updates or upgrades.
Strong spreadsheet skills with experience analysing, maintaining and reporting on data.
Experience managing system queries and communicating technical or data-related information clearly.
Evidence of managing competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of data accuracy.
Ready to put your HR systems knowledge to work in a role where you'll have genuine involvement in how data, processes and functionality are managed? Apply today for the People Systems Administrator position.
