How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You'll work on automated production equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, packaging machinery and other process and production systems.

    Training & Development

The business invests in its people, with opportunities to develop your technical skills and progress your engineering career.

    Long-Term Stability

You'll be joining an established FMCG business supplying major customers, with continued investment in production, engineering and reliability.

    Strong Benefits Package

You'll receive a comprehensive benefits package alongside a competitive salary.

    Benefits

    Market-leading pension scheme

    The Role

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll help keep a high-volume food production site running safely and reliably.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Planned preventative maintenance across production equipment

    Electrical and mechanical fault finding

Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment to operation

Working on conveyors, motors, pumps, packaging machinery and automation

Supporting production changeovers and effective shift handovers

Identifying recurring faults and improving equipment reliability

    Reducing downtime and repeat failures

    Maintaining accurate engineering records

Working to high standards of safety, quality and food compliance

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer with a strong hands-on approach.

    You'll ideally have:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Engineering qualification

Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or another high-volume production environment

Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills

Experience fault finding on automated machinery

    Good electrical fault-finding ability

A practical approach to engineering problem solving

The ability to make decisions and work effectively under pressure

    HACCP knowledge would be desirable

    The Opportunity

This is a good opportunity for an engineer who wants to work somewhere where engineering is properly valued.

You'll be part of a large manufacturing operation with modern equipment, ongoing investment and plenty of scope to improve reliability and develop your technical skills.
