How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    STEP INTO YOUR NEXT SENIOR ROLE: Senior Children’s Social Worker | Assessment & Intervention | Southwark

    SW Locums is recruiting an experienced Senior Children’s Social Worker / Specialist Social Worker to join Southwark Council’s Assessment and Intervention Service at Sumner House.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to undertake meaningful statutory work and make a real difference to children and families.

    Role Details

    *

    Position: Senior Children’s Social Worker / Specialist Social Worker

    *

    Location: Southwark, London – Sumner House

    *

    Pay: £39.04 per hour

    *

    Contract: Full-time Locum

    *

    Start: ASAP

    *

    Working Pattern: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the office

    *

    Duty: Assessment Team rota approximately every 5 weeks

    The Role

    Working as part of the Assessment Team, you will play a key role in assessing risk, safeguarding children and helping families achieve positive outcomes.

    Key responsibilities include:

    *

    Undertaking assessments of children and families.

    *

    Completing home visits and direct work with children.

    *

    Conducting Section 47 enquiries.

    *

    Completing risk assessments and safety planning.

    *

    Working collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners.

    *

    Making sound professional decisions focused on children’s safety and wellbeing.

    *

    Maintaining high-quality case records and meeting statutory requirements.

    What We’re Looking For

    *

    At least 5 years’ post-qualified experience.

    *

    Completed ASYE.

    *

    At least 3 years’ experience in a permanent Social Worker role.

    *

    Previous experience within a Children’s Assessment Team.

    *

    Strong experience in assessment, safeguarding, risk assessment and direct work with children.

    *

    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced statutory environment.
