How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Fresh Produce Trader

    Are you a Trader looking for your next challenge in the fresh produce industry?

    We're looking for a commercially minded professional with wholesale fresh produce experience, ideally with a strong background in fruit, to join a successful and growing fresh produce business as a Trader.
    If you've worked within the fresh produce supply chain, understand the fast-paced nature of wholesale trading, and have experience managing customer and supplier relationships, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your trading career.What's in it for you?

    Salary between £40-60,000 depending on experience.

    As a Trader, you'll play a key role in managing customer and supplier relationships, supporting day-to-day trading activity, and helping to maximise sales and profitability across the fruit category.
    You'll work closely with growers, suppliers and customers while collaborating with Procurement, Sales, Operations, Technical and Logistics to ensure products are delivered efficiently and commercially.Key Responsibilities

    Managing and developing relationships with wholesale customers and fresh produce suppliers.
    Supporting the trading and commercial management of the fruit category.
    Monitoring trading performance and identifying commercial opportunities.
    Assisting with forecasting, pricing, stock planning and reporting.
    Supporting customer meetings and supplier reviews.
    Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
    Delivering excellent customer service while driving commercial performance.What We're Looking For

    Previous experience within the wholesale fresh produce industry is essential.
    A strong background in fruit is highly desirable.
    Commercial experience in buying, sales, account management or trading.
    Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
    Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of the fast-paced nature of fresh produce trading.
    A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Working Pattern
