Teach Now is recruiting an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time temporary role in Harrow starting in September.
At KS2, pupils need adults who can challenge them as well as support them. This KS2 Teaching Assistant position would suit someone confident with upper-primary literacy and maths who can explain ideas clearly and help children become increasingly independent.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting teaching across the KS2 curriculum.
Leading targeted maths, reading and writing interventions.
Helping pupils address gaps in knowledge.
Stretching higher-attaining pupils where appropriate.
Supporting SEND pupils to access classroom learning.
Assisting with assessment activities and pupil feedback.
Promoting positive behaviour, independence and organisation.
Experience supporting Year 5 or Year 6 pupils, including SATs preparation, would be particularly useful but is not essential.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll have relevant experience working in a primary school and strong literacy and numeracy skills. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, alongside confidence delivering small-group interventions.
