Teach Now is looking for an experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary setting in Haringey on a full-time temporary basis from September.
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to make sure children receive the encouragement, challenge and individual attention they need.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting teaching and learning across KS1.
Running phonics, early-reading and maths activities.
Working with individuals and small intervention groups.
Supporting pupils with SEND where required.
Helping children develop independence and positive learning habits.
Preparing resources and maintaining an organised classroom.
The ideal candidate:
You’ll have previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS1 or EYFS. Knowledge of phonics and early literacy is particularly valuable. A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, although strong relevant school experience is equally important.
