How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced QA/QC Manager to join the delivery team on a major hyperscale data centre development in Northumberland.

This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale, technically complex mission-critical project with a leading international main contractor, taking responsibility for quality assurance and quality control throughout the construction and commissioning lifecycle.

    The Role

As QA/QC Manager, you will lead the implementation and management of the project quality strategy, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved specifications, drawings, client requirements and relevant industry standards.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Developing, implementing and maintaining the project Quality Management Plan.

    * Managing QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and associated quality documentation.

    * Ensuring construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications and project standards.

    * Coordinating inspections across civil, structural, architectural and MEP packages.

    * Managing NCRs, defects and corrective actions through to satisfactory close-out.

    * Working closely with project managers, package managers, subcontractors and the commissioning team.

    * Conducting regular site quality inspections and audits.

    * Monitoring subcontractor quality performance and ensuring appropriate records are maintained.

    * Managing quality documentation, handover records and project close-out requirements.

    * Supporting testing, commissioning and final client handover.

We are looking for an experienced construction QA/QC professional with a strong understanding of quality management on major technically demanding projects.

    Ideally, you will have:

    * Previous experience as a QA/QC Manager, Quality Manager or Senior QA/QC Engineer.

    * Experience working on data centres, mission-critical facilities, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or similarly complex projects.

    * Strong knowledge of construction quality processes, ITPs, inspections, NCR management and project handover.

    * Experience managing subcontractors and multiple construction packages.

    * Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

    * A strong understanding of relevant quality standards and construction regulations.

    * Experience working for a main contractor or major specialist contractor.

Previous hyperscale data centre experience would be highly advantageous.

    The Opportunity

This is a key appointment on a significant hyperscale development with a strong pipeline of work. The project offers the opportunity to join an experienced delivery team working within one of the fastest-growing areas of the construction industry.

A competitive salary/package is available with accommodation and subsistence package if not commutable to the project
