How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Locum Occupational Therapist – Specialist SEN School

    Location: West London

    Rate: Up to £70 per hour, depending on experience

    Start Date: 1 September 2026

    Hours: Flexible – 1 to 5 days per week, Monday–Friday

    Contract: Locum / Contract


    We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEN education setting in West London, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs.


    This is an excellent opportunity for an OT looking for flexible locum work within a supportive, multidisciplinary educational environment.


    The Role

    You will provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention, supporting pupils to develop independence, participation and functional skills. You will manage your own clinical caseload while working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families and other professionals.


    The pupils may present with a range of needs including autism, neurodiversity, developmental difficulties, learning difficulties, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.


    The role may also involve contributing to staff training, consultation, multidisciplinary meetings and wider therapeutic programmes within the school.


    About You

    We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is:

    • HCPC registered with a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
    • A member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists
    • Experienced working with children and young people or individuals with additional needs
    • Confident applying OT theory to promote independence and participation
    • Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
    • Creative, resilient and adaptable in their approach
    • Able to produce clear and concise clinical reports
    • Experienced working with neurodivergent individuals, learning difficulties or SEMH needs
    • Interested in sensory-informed practice or Sensory Integration
    • Previous experience within a specialist school or similar educational setting is desirable, but transferable clinical experience will be considered
