How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Reward / Compensation & Benefits

    UK based, hybrid | Global remit |£150,000-£165,000 + 25% bonus + equity package


    Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a high-growth, international fintech business as they seek an experienced Head of Compensation and Benefits to lead and evolve their global compensation, benefits and equity agenda.


    Operating across more than 30 countries, the business has established strong reward foundations and is now entering a pivotal phase of growth. With IPO readiness high on the agenda, this role will play a key part in shaping executive compensation, equity strategy, governance, reward processes and wider remuneration programmes.


    This is a highly visible position working closely with senior leaders, external advisors and cross-functional stakeholders across a global organisation.


    Key areas of focus:

    • Global compensation strategy and benchmarking
    • Equity programme design and implementation
    • IPO readiness activities, including reward governance and executive compensation
    • Benefits renewals and optimisation across multiple international markets
    • Reward processes, analytics and reporting
    • Recognition programmes and cyclical reward reviews
    • Partnering with external advisors including Deloitte


    About you:

    • An experienced reward leader with exposure to international, fast-growing organisations
    • Strong technical expertise across compensation, benefits, exec remuneration and equity
    • Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels
    • Collaborative, pragmatic and able to build credibility with senior stakeholders
    • A confident communicator who can influence and engage leaders across the business
    • Experience within technology, fintech, payments, crypto or similar high-growth sectors would be highly advantageous
