How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Structured Operations – Associate

    Location: London

    Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

    Type: Permanent

Miryco Consultants is working with a leading UK asset management business that is expanding its Asset Operations team. They are looking for a Structured Operations Associate to support their Asset Origination desks internationally.

This is a newly created role offering excellent exposure to a broad range of structured and private investment activity, including commercial real estate, infrastructure, social housing and residential ground rents.

The role would suit someone with 3–7 years' experience in a trading or structuring middle office / trade support environment, particularly within an investment bank, who is looking to take on greater responsibility in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment.

    The Role

You will provide end-to-end operational support for bespoke investment activity, working closely with Asset Origination and a broad range of teams including Trading, Structuring, Finance, Risk, Legal, Technology and Quants/Strats.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Providing pre-trade support for Asset Origination activities, including developing processes for new products and contributing to risk assessments.
    • Validating and reconciling trade activity between internal risk systems and third-party books and records.
    • Supporting settlement and lifecycle management across a range of structured and fixed income products.
    • Working with products including interest rate and cross-currency swaps, FX, CDS and bonds.
    • Supporting long-term secured funding structures across commercial real estate, infrastructure and social housing.
    • Supporting transactions involving Special Purpose Vehicles and other bespoke structures.
    • Managing deal closing activities and coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk and Asset Origination.
    • Performing post-trade reviews of structured transactions, ensuring trade bookings align with legal documentation.
    • Supporting intraday funding, cash flow management and cash reconciliations.
    • Identifying operational risks and helping to develop effective controls and processes.
    • Leading and contributing to projects designed to improve processes and operational efficiency.

    About You

We are looking for someone with:

    • 3–7 years' experience in a trading or structuring middle office, trade support or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of trade booking and risk management systems.
    • Experience across one or more fixed income, derivatives or structured products.
    • Strong technical understanding of structured products, ideally including Exotic Interest Rate Swaps and/or Credit Default Swaps.
    • Knowledge of derivative or fixed income settlement processes and platforms such as CTM/Omgeo, MarkitWire or DTCC.
    • Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
    • Experience working with complex legal documentation and understanding how transactions are represented within risk systems.
    • A strong understanding of operational risks and controls.
    • Experience managing multiple projects and leading process improvement initiatives.
    • Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills.
    • The ability to work independently while operating effectively as part of a broader team.
    • A minimum 2:1 degree from a leading university.

Desirable: Exposure to Databricks, Python, Enterprise Architecture tools or the practical use of AI to automate and improve processes.

    Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a newly established Structured Operations function and gain end-to-end exposure to a sophisticated investment business.

The role offers significant interaction with senior stakeholders and exposure to a genuinely diverse range of asset classes and complex investment structures. It would suit someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and working at the intersection of investment, structuring, risk and operations.

If you're an experienced middle-office or trade-support professional looking for a role with greater breadth, responsibility and exposure to complex transactions, we'd be keen to hear from you.
