Allen Lane are supporting a government organisation with the recruitment of a Senior Commercial Advisor to join their Corporate Services team and play a key role in delivering commercial excellence across the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys managing end-to-end commercial activity, influencing stakeholders, and helping deliver value for money through compliant and effective procurement solutions.
Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, you'll help shape and deliver their commercial strategy while partnering with colleagues across the organisation to support a diverse portfolio of contracts and services.
You'll work on a varied portfolio that includes:

- Cyber Security
- Events Management
- Media Monitoring
- Market Intelligence and Data Services
- Legal Services
- Health & Wellbeing Programmes
- Leadership Development Services
This role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of categories and provides the opportunity to influence commercial decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of commercial and procurement projects.
- Deliver procurements across the full commercial lifecycle.
- Conduct market engagement activities to help shape sourcing strategies.
- Maintain and manage procurement pipelines to support forward planning.
- Develop procurement approaches that maximise competition and value for money.
- Ensure compliance with Public Procurement legislation and internal governance requirements.
- Provide commercial advice and challenge to stakeholders where appropriate.
- Support contract award activities and commercial governance processes.
- Use procurement systems and digital tools to effectively manage procurement activity.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the TRA's Commercial Strategy.
Key Experience:
- Experience of carrying out procurements using a wide range of different routes to market, including utilising Government Frameworks
- Experience of managing procurement across the entire commercial lifecycle, from early market engagement through to contract award
- Working knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023, and how they apply in day-to-day commercial activity
- Experience using digital toolsto support procurement delivery, including software such as Microsoft Office,Excel, Word, and DocuSign
- Leadership skills
