How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An elite US law firm is seeking a Conflicts Lawyer to join its London team. This is a highly visible, advisory role offering direct exposure to Partners and senior stakeholders across an international network, with scope to build specialist expertise in conflicts and professional ethics.

    Why Apply?

    • High-level exposure – advise Partners and senior stakeholders on complex conflicts and new business matters.
    • Excellent career opportunity – join a sophisticated global function where conflicts is viewed as a commercial, business-enabling specialism.
    • International & flexible – work across jurisdictions within a collaborative team, with a competitive salary and hybrid working of three days in the London office.

Working within the firm's international Conflicts and New Business function, the Conflicts Lawyer will assess potential conflicts and new business issues, combining legal analysis with commercial judgement. The role requires someone who can identify risk, find pragmatic solutions and communicate clear advice to stakeholders across the firm.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review and analyse complex conflicts searches and new client/matter requests.
    • Advise Partners and other stakeholders on conflicts, professional conduct and business
    • acceptance issues.
    • Conduct corporate and regulatory research to identify relevant relationships and potential risks.
    • Recommend practical solutions, including waivers, ethical screens and internal clearances.
    • Draft and review relevant conflicts and engagement documentation.
    • Support conflicts considerations relating to lateral hires.
    • Monitor relevant regulatory developments and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

This opportunity would suit a qualified lawyer with at least 2+ years' PQE, with strong analytical skills, commercial judgement and the confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders.

Previous conflicts, new business intake, AML or law firm risk experience would be advantageous, particularly within a US or international firm, but is not essential. Applications are also welcomed from fee-earners who can demonstrate a genuine interest in transitioning into conflicts and professional ethics.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop a specialist career within an elite international law firm, combining legal analysis, commercial decision-making and senior stakeholder exposure in a collaborative global environment.
