How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Conflicts Attorney | US Law Firm

    Permanent Opportunity | London Office

    1-3 PQE (Ideally) | Competitive Salary + Benefits


    Our client, a top US law firm, is actively recruiting for a Qualified Lawyer to join them on a permanent basis in their London office with their Global Conflicts New Business Department – working as their new Conflicts Attorney.


    The team is split between the UK, EU and US – working closely together to provide exceptional conflicts clearance and new business intake services across the firm and their global offices. Being the Conflicts Attorney, you’ll be in an advisory and stakeholder facing role!


    As the successful Conflicts Attorney, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

    • Reviewing and escalating conflict searched submitted during London business hours
    • Advising on new business intake policies and procedure issues across various jurisdictions
    • Reviewing and approving new clients/matters
    • Ensuring compliance with the firms new business intake policies and procedures
    • Supporting the onboarding of lateral Partners and Associates
    • Participating in weekly meetings and contributing knowledge and updates
    • Preparing comprehensive Conflict Summaries for Partners

    To be considered for this new opportunity, you’ll need to have/be the following:

    • Be a minimum of 1 PQE from a top US or international law firm
    • Have working knowledge of professional conduct roles (SRA Code of Conduct, ABA Model Rules or Professional Conduct)
    • Ideally, have experience in Legal Conflicts or Business Intake from a US or international law firm
    • Ideally, have exposure/experience with conflict search applications (Intapp Open, WorldCheck, Orbis, etc)


    This role could also be suitable for a Qualified Lawyer (1+ PQE), who is looking to transition into a non-fee earning role and develop a career within Legal Risk & Compliance.
