How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Primary School

    A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team at the start of the new academic year in September 2026.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences and help pupils make excellent progress.

    The successful applicant will:

    * Be competent in supporting the delivery of the EYFS and/or National Curriculum.

    * Be an excellent classroom practitioner.

    * Offer drive, kindness, enthusiasm, imagination and commitment.

    * Establish a caring and inclusive learning environment with a focus on developing the whole child.

    * Be passionate about achievement for every child and committed to ongoing professional learning.

    * Have knowledge and experience of supporting the delivery of Read Write Inc.

    * Support individual pupils and small groups to achieve their learning objectives.

    * Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.

    * Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    * A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

    * Previous experience working within a primary school setting.

    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    * Experience supporting children across the primary age range.

    * Knowledge of EYFS and/or the National Curriculum.

    * An understanding of Read Write Inc.

    * The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

    * A proactive, flexible and positive approach to school life.
