How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As a Production Planning Specialist in Bingley, you'll play a key role in ensuring production schedules run smoothly and efficiently, and act as a support function to the production team.

    A global company which operates in the industrial and manufacturing sector, with sites throughout the UK. This role is based in Bingley.

    Description

    The Production Planning Specialist will:

    Maintain and improve the ERP system (SAP) for existing, new, and trial codes.
    Create and maintain BOMs, Routings and Quality plans.
    Verify that all production bookings have been completed, including final confirmations and consulting with the manufacturing team to complete paperwork.
    Contribute to projects involving master data.
    Complete production variance analysis and improvements to BOMs/Routings
    Review production records for completeness and correction of booking errors, final confirmation of production records.
    Interaction with Global support functions regarding problem solving and managing through to resolution.
    Support with training in SAP for new operators.Profile

    The successful Production Planning Specialist should have:

    Experience in SAP (R3 / S4 HANA) preferred
    Proven experience in a data management role within a manufacturing environment.
    Proven experience in a manufacturing production support function.
    Good analytical skills combined with high level of resilience and initiative.
    Strong MS office 365 skills, especially MS Excel.Job Offer

    Temporary contract with potential for longer term.
