How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Data Centre Technical Operations Manager

    Location: London

    Contract Length: 6 months

    Daily Rate: £203.44 - £226.00 Umbrella

    Working Pattern: Full Time

    Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Technical Operations Manager to oversee and enhance their data centre operations. This is a temporary position based in the bustling area of London, where the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of data centre activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and manage all technical operations within the data centre, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
    Develop and implement operational processes and procedures that enhance efficiency and maintain the highest standards of service delivery.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and facilities management, to ensure seamless integration of services.
    Monitor and analyse data centre performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
    Oversee incident management and resolution processes, ensuring timely and effective responses to any technical issues.
    Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, safeguarding data integrity and security.
    Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring that contracts and service level agreements are met.
    Provide leadership and guidance to the technical operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

    Key Requirements:

    Proven experience in a data centre management or technical operations role, preferably within the eCommerce industry.
    Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud technologies.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
    Demonstrated experience in managing teams and leading projects to successful completion.
    Familiarity with relevant compliance frameworks and best practises in data centre operations.
    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    Relevant certifications in data centre management or IT operations (e.g., ITIL, PMP) would be advantageous.
