Warehouse Operative (Weekends)

Rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour
Holidays – 20 Days
Contract: 12 Month Contract
Shift Pattern: 6am-3pm OR 2pm-11pm OR 10:00pm - 7am (Three Shifts Available)
Saturday & Sunday
About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to support a growing 24/7 vehicle operations centre in London.
This position is ideal for someone with experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre, logistics operation, stores environment, or inventory-controlled facility. Previous automotive or vehicle parts experience is not required, however any basic knowledge of vehicles would be of benefit.
Working as part of a night-shift team, you'll be responsible for ensuring stock is accurately received, stored, tracked and distributed to support operational requirements around the clock.
Responsibilities
* Receive and process incoming deliveries
* Accurately check, count and record stock movements
* Pick and issue stock items for operational teams
* Ensure inventory is correctly stored and organised
* Perform regular stock counts and cycle counts
* Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems
* Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
* Prepare shipments and returns as required
* Keep warehouse and storage areas organised, clean and safe
* Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics or inventory environment
* Comfortable working permanent night shifts
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience using inventory, stock control or warehouse management systems is advantageous
* Basic computer skills
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable
* Forklift licence (not essential)
* Experience working in a 24/7 operation
* Experience within logistics, distribution, transport, aviation, manufacturing or e-commerce environments
